Church History

Neal and Alice Isom (1985 – 1994) September 1985 was the beginning of a vision. Reverend Neal Isom has a vision and a burden to begin a new ministry in the Ringgold area. The first Sunday had 13 in Sunday School and 22 in Morning Worship. Through prayer, fasting, obedience, and hard work eventually the vision took shape in the form of CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CENTER CHURCH OF GOD.

A building was found suitable for worship across from the Danville Airport. The doors for membership were opened four months after the first service. In January 1986 twenty-six members were taken in. After one year, the property was purchased for $105,000.00. People from all walks of life came to the aid of the new-born church and in August 1994 a Fellowship hall was added. When Reverend Neal and Alice Isom left because of the health problems in 1994, everything had been paid for except the church payment.
